Memories of COVID-19 Lock Down

I have loved LockDown! No cars on the roads, working from home, no running all over London for meetings and shopping local. Now the daily exercise cycle ride to my front door and all my equipment at hand, I can work productively.

Cycling around, however I have been horrified by the amount of Covid-19 PPE now litters the streets and the environment in general. Have we had a sort of environmental consciousness melt-down?

I began the final part of my Open College of Arts Painting course at the beginning of the Lockdown, so it was very much in my consciousness. It has actually been very cathartic to produce art around this historic event.

A full, rather dry but extensive account of producing this work can be found on my OCA learning log www.nikibluesunflower.wordpress.com
