Every body is different, different shapes, tones, postures and colours, I love life drawing in that it is a chance to celebrate the human body in all it's manifestations and differences. All of the drawings are done at The Islington Arts Factory Wednesday evening Life Drawing Class Drawingthefigure where the models audition to be put on the National Life Drawing Register. There can be up to three models in one two and a half hour time slot where the class does 3 short poses, one 30 min or two 20 min poses and one hour pose that is broken half way through for the model to stretch before resuming the same position.
Since the COVID-19 Lockdown the classes have been suspended or resumed on a limited capacity booking basis. I have teamed up with a few members of the old class to do 2 hour sessions on zoom concentrating on one pose for the whole session with breaks every 40 minutes. This has enabled more comprehensive painting sessions and space to be more imaginative with my paintings.
If you wish to purchase any of these drawings please email to discuss, (there are too many to put in the shop!). Prices may vary but start for unframed artwork at £30 for 7 min pose, £40 for 10 min Pose, £50 for 20 min poses, £60 for 30 min Pose and £100 for 1 hour poses. Prices for canvas works on application.

This was painted just before the tragic death of Sarah Everard and speaks to me of the tradgedy of her story, and the voices of all women who have ever felt unsafe in the presence of men.

Playing with this pose, the model, an angel with her tattoo, the one at the base of her neck says 'SINNER', looks forlornely onto a mirror which feflects the earth in space. A small plant signifies life and the question of how we treat life and our planet in the face of climate change.
