Climate Change should be at the forefront of all our consciousnesses. These messsges expressed in Monotype prints take quotes from those environmentalists that have become familiar faces to us all.
This collection of Monotype prints convey the stark messages that the portrait subjects have elequently composed.

Each Monotype is a unique original print. These Monotypes are created by painting your image in reverse in Oil paint diluted with Linseed oil or White Spirit onto glass, then carefully laying the paper in position over the glass and rubbing down hard with a Baren. The paper is then carefully peeled back to reveal the print. Any mistakes or printing errors can then be touched up, normally the eyes which are arguably the most important aspect of a portrait.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama is the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people. I first learned about the Dalai Lama when I travelled to India and did a Buddist pilgrimage to the four sites of Buddah. I have since then always been interested in his words of wisdom and messages of peace.
